Is it too early to be getting our minds off of the drama in Ocean Shores (from the past two weeks)?

Hey, they were already giving odds on Mike Huckabee for 2012 on Fox News last night. Whatcha think?

Better than my long tomes on cleaning kitty litters, dog walking (new activity as of last week) and Grays Harbor College starting classes--including one of the ones I'll be teaching (TODAY!).

Prayers still requested relative to previous few postings here and on Sweetheart's blog.

U.J.
Kitty litter discussions have more intrinsic value than who won a right wing beauty contest 3 years before the next election. Although Huck does play a mean guitar.

"Drama" is my middle name. Just ask any of my kids ... or Flo (wife of 50 years living in Florida). It just might be that Tampa and Ocean Shores are about as far from one another as any two points in the Lower 48.

Meanwhile, continue to pray for Richard.

I wish that Dr. Joe or Sweetie would drop a few more hints. Is Richard at home? In the hospital with a brain injury? Taken off in the RAV4 for parts unknown? In a residential facility receiving treatment for addiction?

Also respecting privacy, so I'll keep lifting all concerned into the Lord's loving embrace. I don't have a "need" to know; just a wish, as stated above.

No big "secrets" intended. Richard is having medical and other tests done to determine whether he has damage to a number of possible organs, etc. He hasn't had a thorough physical in several years and thus, this is a good time to "catch up," so to speak.

He is at a facility in the Seattle area and, at least for the time being, prefers to only have a small number of close family members calling him--also, he has no access to the Internet as of now.

My guess is that he'll be as good as new in a month or so and resume helping Sweetheart to use her paws (no opposable thumbs, remember?) as she restarts her blog at callmesweetheart.blogspot.com.

Last I heard, he was feeling stronger and regaining his "old self." No, I haven't spoken directly with him for several days. Hopefully, later this week, but I'll have to wait with you all ... praying and hoping for the best.

Sweetheart misses him too, of course, but is becoming used to an elderly man (me!) walking her and sharing his bed with her--ugh!

Thanks for your concern.

Joe

I love Jerry Large's column in today's 9/24/09 Seattle Times (www.seattletimes.column. Readers of this blog and sweetie's might like it.
