For the love of Jihad! Why make this Health Care Reform so %#$&@ complicated?

What I seem to be hearing coming from the Town Hall Meetings--click on the diagram to get e glimpse of what's on paper today!

Mediawingnuts believes deeply that we need to "reform" whatever it is we have out there that leaves fifty million folks without health insurance. But ...

Why all the subterfuge?

I can think of two options that would work and both of which would fit on one side of one sheet of paper.

1. Allow every American to have the same plan that Congress enjoys!

or

2. Expand Medicare to every living soul in America ... okay, insist on citizenship if you really want to pay through the teeth for later more serious problems.

Take your pick! I like the first one, but we could certainly live with either and, as P-BO has reminded us, the deficit will go through the roof if we stand around bickering for the next fifteen years.

Yeesh!

U.J.,
It's not complicated. The greedy rich insurance companies want to continue the bunko game, and will pay stooges (See Sweetie blog) to infiltrate and shout down 'town meetings', lie (See Sarah Barracuda Death Panels), and pay False News to repeat the lies 24/7 to protect the gravy train. Nothing complicated about that. Let's not worry about any of it; rather let's concentrate on Tom DeLay on Dancing With Stars and other vital matters.
Too deep?

I agree with you Joe and I like the first one also, but we need
one or the other.

Well, it would sure be nice if we could have option one, but that ain't gonna happen.

With your option two preclude any other plans? Or are you suggesting that's what everyone should have (except congress)?

As regards the second plan, we might look at options such as something like the VA (vet. Admin., not Virginia) has. Why shouldn't the Federal Government own sufficient hospitals to care for all of its citizens and (essentially) hire the staff, including the doctors?

And prescription drugs should be part of whatever plan is adopted.

How about insurance companies, malpractice suits, and malpractice lawyers?

By all means, malpractice insurance and malpractice suits should be restricted to reasonable maximums ... say $5000 beyond actual costs incurred?
