And that was/is the connection between my brother's (that is, Richard from Connecticut) and Al Franken's presence at a fundraiser (for Altmire, of course) last evening in Pittsburgh. Franken lives in Minnesota and my brother lives in Connecticut. Go figure ...

of course i can't answer ;)
i just wanted to write you to say Al Gore is making a lot of noise there. He was inveted in the national tv and a lot of politicians are saying about the movie now. He seems to become the messiah of ecology, the one who will save the world :D
but at least it's a good point some people are speaking about what the usa are doing (not in nattional tv as france is anti american in speech) for ecology. I discovered many points which give a good picture of your country. In my country Chirac like always speaks a lot but nothing is done. I can remember when i was nuclear physics student and later quantum in universities almost no money for wind and solar systems but a lot of money for nuclear even for people doing nothing useful.
