Arab Foreign Ministers punctuate my previous posting.

The Arab League Foreign Ministers Meeting is a table that looks more like a table for the Poker World Series. In complete agreement with much that I wrote in a posting a day or so ago, the Arab foreign ministers seem bent on beating the ante(s) of any of the "Shiite Crescent" countries who are sending support to the Hezbollah in Lebanon. Of course, Lebanon's foreign minister, Fawzi Salloukh (upper left) was present to take as much money and other support as might be offered -- and the early results seem to indicate that billions of dollars (USD) were going to be headed Lebanon's way.

This highlights the broader Sunni versus Shiite (more or less) contention -- perhaps more properly phrased as a "game" between the more militant Muslim countries (Iran, Iraq, Syria--not really predominantly Shiite, southern Lebanon itself, etc.) and the rest.

Yaa! Yaa! Told you so! Told you so!
