Is Senator George Allen a bully ... ask his sister, Jennifer!
Reading a few excerpts from Fifth Quarter: The Scrimmage of a Football Coach's daughter, by Jennifer Allen (Senator Allen's sister) are worth examining. They certainly put a slightly different twist to his foolish "macaca" slur of a young Virginian of Indian ancestry. He wasn't being racist as much as he was simply being mean, it seems. Read on ...
[Please go to Huffington Post where I learned these tidbits -- I have not yet read Jennifer Allen's book, but will likely read it due to my interest in her father, a football coach of almost legendary proportions.]
I will make these short:
He held her (his sister) over the security gate at Niagara Falls and she is afraid of heights to this day.
He slammed her boyfriend in the head with a pool cue.
"We all obeyed George. If we didn't, we knew he would kill us." And yes, he once broke his younger brother's (Gregory's) collarbone and dragged her (his sister, Jennifer) up the stairs by her hair when they refused to go to bed.
She said he wanted to be a dentist because "he saw dentistry as a perfect profession -- getting paid to make people suffer." Hmm ... sounds like he's found something even better -- being a Republican Senator is right on target, I would think.
See, Richard ... I wasn't that terrible of an older brother after all.
