Ann Coulter really is a Person who Should be Careful with her "Shots"
A few of her quotes really bother me --
She took a rather not-too-PC shot at the media with, "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building."
And recently, she took a shot at John Murtha (one of my heroes in Congress) with, "John Murtha is the reason soldiers invented 'fragging'." I wasn't pleased with Al Frankin's return retort that "Ann Coulter is the reason that husbands invented 'flogging'" either, by the way. (Note: For those who weren't in the military, "fragging" refers to lower-ranking military -- usually non-coms -- literally killing their disliked superiors -- usually officers. Murtha was a Full Bull colonel in the US Marines Corps.)
And, of course, her shot at the 9-11 widows who are requesting another look at the 9/11 anomalies is now helping her book sell like hot cakes. She wrote, "These self-obsessed women seem genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation, and acted as if the terrorist attack only happened to them ... These broads are millionaires lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities. . . . I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much ..."
Please, Ann (and others on either side of the political fence), let's watch our verbiage in our attacks and keep it in both good taste and ... with kindness as our base intention.
