Watch out Dems! Watch out, GOP! The $5 billion roller-coaster is a-comin' ...
It appears that both parties are shaking a bit in their collective booties as Mr. Bloomberg has decided to quit the Republican Party and become an Independent. He directed the following comments to both the White House (Republican) and the Congress (Democrats):
"I think the country is in trouble; (citing the war in Iraq and America's declining standing globally) our reputation has been hurt very badly in the last few years. We've had a go-it-alone mentality in a world where, because of communications and transportation, you should be going exactly in the other direction."
Truer words were never spoken, but then, this is only Day One of the latest reincarnation of Michael Bloomberg--former Democrat and former Republican.
"The politics of partisanship and the resulting inaction and excuses have paralyzed decision-making, primarily at the federal level, and the big issues of the day are not being addressed, leaving our future in jeopardy," he also said in a another speech only yesterday.
Whither goest thou, Michael?
A Hillary Clinton-Fred Thompson-Michael Bloomberg three-way race in 2008 would surely be hard to call at this stage.
