Lamont Wins in August! Lieberman Likely Winner in November!

Still, for this evening, it's Ned Lamont's night in Connecticut! It was Lamont: 51.8 against Lieberman: 48.2 at last count an hour ago. Lieberman, however, is strongly favored to win as a "Democratic Independent" (whatever that is) in November.

Thus going into November, it's really an odd duo running "as Democrats" in Connecticut.



And yes, our job as Americans vis-a-vis the Connecticut race for the Senate seat should also be two-pronged: (1) work for Ned Lamont while (2) attempting to convince Joe Lieberman that the US should pull out of the Iraqi Civil War before half of our forces are supporting the Sunnis and half are supporting the Shiites ... at the same time!

Maybe GWB will do even something more tragic than the Iraq Invasion (I really hope not!) in the meantime and Joe will reluctantly shift his stance on "staying the course" in Iraq. Every week we stay engaged in their Civil War, additional Americans (and Iraqis) will surely die.
