Mr. Bush: What specifically did you say that you would "personally" do to whoever it was who leaked Valerie Plame's identity?
I suppose that this CIA leak matter is getting old hat to some, but as our boys (and girls) continue to die in Iraq, a war and prolonged occupation that we precipitously went into -- and about which the disclosure of Valerie Plame as a CIA agent to the press was intimately connected, remember? -- I just can't let the matter "just fade away" like old soldiers and the voting frauds that plagued the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.
We all remember that it was Robert Novak (photo above) who first published the CIA agent's name ("Valerie Plame") as we all know now as almost a household name). But until today, he (Novak) didn't publicly acknowledge who his "sources" were. We all thought that it was, or at least included, Karl Rove, Bush's political confidante and senior advisor, but Rove's having been taken off the list of persons who might be indicted by Patrick Fitzgerald and the Special Grand Jury ... took him out of the limelight.
Well, almost!
Novak finally gave us two of the three sources who he used for his story, and guess what? Rover-baby of dirty tricks fame was one of them! Besides Karl Rove, Novak also named a CIA spokesman (at that time), Bill Harlow.
Even now, Novak isn't ready to name the third source -- which he termed "primary," except to state that the third source isn't/wasn't Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney's former Chief of Staff -- the only person thus far indicted.
I won't even conjecture a guess as to who that person might be, but I am curious what Bush's answer to some brave newsperson's question (go for it, Helen Thomas!) at his next Press Conference might be if he's asked why he hasn't (to our knowledge) even reprimanded Karl Rove now that Robert Novak has stated his name publicly. Indeed, Rove might very well resign in the meantime, but questions like that surely come to my mind -- and doubtless to my politically astute brother's mind too (Richard in Connecticut, that is) -- as I hear replay after replay on the radio today of both Mr. Bush's statements and answers to questions and Scottie McClellan's statements (pretty sternly worded too) about what Mr. Bush would do if and when he know the names of any persons even "involved" with the naming of Valerie Plame. [Note: use your edit button/function to "find" the word, "leak," in the White House transcript link that is underlined above.]
Then there's the matter of those hand-written (by Dick Cheney) notes on that newspaper clipping . . .
More to come, I'm sure.

Thanks for that right-wing blog-addy! I commented on his somewhat harsh statements a few minutes ago -- relating to the ongoing actions in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Yes, his site does make the blood curdle a wee bit, eh?
He appears to be one who interprets "Support our Troops!" as to leave them in harm's way in a civil war between two Muslim factions -- especially when we don't know which side we're on from day to day.
I think we're on the side of the Sunnis this week, but we were surely fighting with the Shiites on both Monday and Tuesday -- and again on Friday -- of last week in Anbar Province.
Yeesh!
