Sometimes "politics" just don't matter ...

My sister, whose daughter, son-in-law and two darling granddaughters are in Lebanon reminded me today that when your loved ones are in danger, politics is the last thing on your mind. This picture of the Beirut International Airport this morning reminds me to ask you all to pray ... earnestly and with great faith that my niece, her husband and their two little girls are able to "enjoy" (to the extent possible) their "vacation" and get out of Lebanon safely ... and soon.

As a starter, you might read the Book of James in the New Testament:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

James 1:2-5 NIV
