Senator Inhofe compares heat wave to Third Reich's "Big Lie" vis-a-vis Global Warming debate

What will it take to convince Senator Jim Inhofe that Global Warming is real? He lives in Oklahoma -- when he's not in Washington dissing Al Gore's, An Inconvenient Truth, so maybe all he really has to do is step outside and read his thermometer.

The temperatures in the Southwest are almost off the charts!

The wildfires in Arizona and California this year were beyond "normal," and brown-outs are becoming commonplace throughout the Midwest.

Yeesh!

Even in Ocean Shores, we were sweltering today, and to make matters worse, I made the mistake of going "east" across the foothills of the Olympic Mountains to see a movie (don't ask!) and found out first-hand that Washington State was breaking all-time heat records too.

It's not just the glaciers in the Arctic and Antarctic, folks; nor is it just the polar bears who are suffering. Europe is going through a record-breaking heat wave just as we are -- and I hate to think just how warm the waters of the Gulf of Mexico might be getting, and it's only July. I can only imagine this year's hurricane season, if the water temperatures are any gauge.

I can't afford $100,000 for a Tesla Motors Electric (battery operated) roadster quite yet, but I sure hope that some enterprising entrepreneur will be willing to take on Big Oil and get us past this 20th/21st Century dependence on oil and gas -- at least for our transportation.
