Here we go again ... 2006-style!

Let's all hope that this year's "hurricane season" will be a little less hectic than last year's. "Chris" is not projected to do much of anything for another couple of days, but could grow. The "weather-talk" guy (what happened to the nice woman?) on CNN said it was likely to go into the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico -- after giving Cuba a slight brush (bad timing there what with Castro's health and all) and then either die out or grow a little before going into Mexico.

But it is a reminder of the time of the year, and also -- that the Homeland Security Department (including FEMA) is apparently well prepared -- as well as the local folks in the coastal areas of half a dozen states.
