Bill O'Reilly makes a fool of himself .... again!

This was so bad that I went to bed with a stomach ache last night. Really!

Anyway, what Mr. O'Reilly did was to bring Dennis Kucinich onto his program to present a "plan" for fighting terrorism. From almost the moment that Kucinich began to present his well thought out plan, O'Reilly spoke as loudly as possible over Kucinich, thinking that his good looks [sic] and noise would fluster Kucinich.

It didn't. Kucinich presented his plan carefully and without letting O'Reilly's ego-filled "over-speech" bother him one lick. He essentially said that the best way to defeat terrorism would be to divert resources being wasted in fighting the Iraqi Sunnis in support of the Shiites on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and fighting the Iraqi Shiites in support of the Sunnis on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday week after week -- with Sundays devoted to staying out of sight in one of the super-bases under construction in Iraq and enjoying Haliburton's $250 mess hall meals -- and putting these resources to work fighting the terrorists who are building capabilities in the US and elsewhere.

It went without saying (but Dennis Kucinich did!) that the stature of the US would grow and the numbers of US and Iraqi civilian casualties would decrease almost immediately. I think that last night's O'Reilly show alone added a couple of percentage points to the Democratic Party's vote count. Thanks, Bill! And thank you, Mr. Kucinich, for so eloquently stating our position.

The bottom line was that O'Reilly's tactics were about as transparent as his silly use of the English language to expand his not-needing-additional-expansion ego. His no-spin zone wasn't particularly spinning out of control, but O'Reilly was spinning like a top.

Kucinich was unflappable and said what had to be said.
