Armed Madness is both informative and fun

I've only heard Greg Palast when he's a guest on one of the Air America shows -- particularly when he and Randi Rhodes go at it!

Well, the above book is well worth the money for being both a good reference base for all that's happening vis-a-vis the "Bush Crime family" (thanks for that, Mike Malloy!) and funny, funny, funny. I have to assume that all of his references are credible (some might not be), but if only 50% of what he has researched is accurate, the clever jokes inserted in the book are quickly submerged in the sad realization that we are in a very bad state ... as a nation and as a planet.

He covers everything from 9/11 to Iraq, from Katrina to the stolen 2000 and 2004 elections, from global warming to the "myth of free trade." He clearly demonstrates that his long research into the historical and cultural backgrounds of the people and their plans weaves the facts perfectly into something that can only be described as a diabolical Neocon program that will ultimately lead to a complete destruction of what's pure and noble about our way of life.

Thank God for persons like Judge Anna Diggs Taylor (previous posting).

Although he comes off as a little bombastic at times, I like listening to Palast. And his book, "the best democracy money can buy" was eye opening. Whenever I hear him or read his words, I end up more angry than before at the GOP. It's so frustrating that facts aren't enough to put some of these criminals away.

Yeh, I agree! I was far angrier after reading Armed Madness than any other emotion. Yet, Palast made a powerful point when he highlighted the fact that, even though Bush actually lost in 2000 and 2004, he still managed to pick up nearly half the votes (59 million!) ... legally! That should make us sit back and think.

Cheers ... MWN (Joe)
