(CBS/AP) Distancing himself from remarks by Vice President Cheney, President Bush said Wednesday there was no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 — disputing an idea held by many Americans. "There's no question that Saddam Hussein had al Qaeda ties," the president said. But he also said, "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept. 11 attacks."

A Mediawingnuts Question: How is it that more than 75% of all Americans in 2006 understand that the war in Iraq and the terrorist attacks of 9/11 are unconnected, whereas "almost 90%" of our military in Iraq are of the opposite opinion?

(What exactly are our young men and women in harm's way being told in their pre-deployment training?)
